Aloo Mutter is the curry loved by everyone. It is a simple and quick curry and can be made for brunch, lunch or dinner as most of the ingredients are easily available at home.

Ingredients:
- 2 medium sized
boiled potatoes
- ¼ cup green peas
(fresh or frozen)
- 1 medium size
tomato
- 1 green chili
- ½ teaspoon
grated ginger
- 4-5 curry leaves
- 1/8
teaspoon mustard seeds
- 1/8 teaspoon
cumin seeds
- 1/8 teaspon
turmeric powder
- ¼ teaspoon red
chilli powder
- ½ teaspoon
coriander powder
- ¼ teaspoon garam
masala
- 2 table spoon
oil
- A pinch of hing
- Salt as per
taste
Direction:
Grind roughly chopped tomatoes, green chili, ginger and curry leaves. Keep it aside.
Heat oil in a pan and low the flame. Add mustard seeds, cumin seeds and hing.
Then add the tomato paste and sauté. Add salt, turmeric, coriander powder, red chili powder and cook for 2-3 min until oil separates. Add approx. ½ cup of water.
Add
boiled potatoes roughly broken in small pieces with hands and green
peas and mix. Cover and cook it for 5 more minutes on low flame. Open
the lid carefully, add garam masala and mix well. If required add more
warm water, if the curry looks little dry. Turn off the flame. Serve and
garnish with fresh green coriander leaves.
